  3. <hi style=afpcap>The Air Force's entire fleet of General Dynamics F-111 Aardvarks and EF-111 "Spark 'vark" electronic warfare aircraftis stationed at Cannon Air Force Base, 7 miles west of Clovis, New Mexico, home of the 27th Fighter Wing. The F-111 has longer range and greater accuracy than the F-15E which replaced it, and the EF-111 is the only aircraft in its class, but for cost reasons the Air Force proposes to retire them in the near future. Congress disagrees and wants to proceed with a SIP (Systems Improvement Program) to upgrade the EF-111.</hi>
